And this from our VALUED patients: "I was suffering from TMJ and my jaw was locking open. It was annoying because I talk all day at work. It was painful to force my jaw to close. I spoke to an oral surgeon. He wanted to make me a mouth piece to wear at night, but I don't grind my teeth at night. If that didn't work I would be facing surgery. I thought about trying chiropractic treatments. Within six visits my jaw no longer locks open & I have no restrictions on what I can eat. I'm thrilled." Elizabeth "Recently, I hurt my lower back lifting. I could hardly move because of muscle spasms. After one visit my spasms were gone. I always recommend Dr. Guthrie to my friends, because he works with my muscles a long time before he does an adjustment." "I suffered the pain of TMJ dysfunction for years, with the options presented to me of surgery or medication. I began down the road of anti-inflammatory after anti-inflammatory. As they either tore up my stomach or were taken off the market, I was thrilled to hear of another treatment option. Admittedly, I was skeptical when I met with Dr. Guthrie for a consultation..... As I learned about this treatment method, I became very interested and scheduled my first appointment. I have been simply amazed at the level of improvement and how quickly I felt improvement. After just a couple of appointments, I was completely off pain relievers and not suffering daily pain! It has made a tremendous difference in my daily life and I have happily referred others to Dr. Guthrie." "My first visit to Dr. Guthrie was for muscle spasms from TMJ. I only needed that one visit. I was treated gently with acupressure and massage, and a little adjustment. I was also encouraged to read a book about TMJ that included exercises, that would help prevent a reoccurrence. I have had no more problems with TMJ and that was 2 years ago." Linda "I wanted to give you my testimonial! I have a number of them but, this is what I tell anyone I see who is looking to see a D.C. 3 years ago I had a horseback riding accident that dislocated and broke my elbow. I am a massage therapist. This was devastating. After 2 surgeries, a titanium implant, then 5 months of physical therapy my arm and shoulder were "frozen" by my side in a handshake position. I was told "wrap your head around the fact that you will be handicapped from now on and get on with life". I didn't want to. I went to see if Dr. Guthrie to do anything for me. We worked hard together for 4 months or so, a little less than the physical therapy. While I'm not perfect, anyone looking at me would never be able to tell that I have a problem in that arm. I might be able to get the whole thing if I would buckle down and come see him! But, as most of us are, I went from not being able to really use that arm for much, to functioning almost totally normal and haven't been as motivated. However, it should be noted that December 15, 3 years and a couple of months since an almost disabling riding accident, I am opening a new massage office! I never would have believed it and it wouldn't have been possible without the skills of Dr. Guthrie! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I will forever be grateful and blessed that you have been in my life!" Hi there Dr. Guthrie! Just reading your new home page about the work you do made me feel more relaxed! And reminded me how much you have helped John and me over the years. Thank you so much for that! I always tried to explain to others the benefits we experienced from our appointments with you. Sometimes the best (and I suppose most accurate) explanation I could give was to say that you had a "healing touch." Your description is much better and confirms what we have always experieinced. Very nice. And I love that you included the photos! Always a pleasure to see your work! As a matter of fact, I have a print of one of your photos on the wall in front of me in our den. It is one of the purple/blue flower close-up. You probably don't remember giving it to me years ago, but it was very kind of you and another "healing touch" Thank you and your staff for the great work you do. Sincerely, Pam |
